As the 2019 Women’s Rugby Super Series comes to its final round, fans and supporters have the opportunity to enjoy a few extra events, including the Tackle the Podium Together fundraiser happening tonight, Friday, July 12th at San Deigo’s FruitCraft Distillery.

“It’s an exceptional time right now for women’s rugby in American sports. With the increased profile of High-Performance women’s teams, the teams are on the brink of capitalizing on their potential” said Women’s High-Performance General Manager, Emilie Bydwell.

The Tackle the Podium Together fundraiser is an evening to celebrate the Women’s Eagles past successes as well as highlight the team’s potential moving forward. The night will include a cocktail party followed by a brief presentation from Bydwell and current Eagles Kate Zackary, Nicole Heavirland, and Ilona Maher.

Individuals in attendance will get a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the things the teams are doing behind the scenes to continue their momentum for future success.

Beyond a night of celebration and discussion about the future, it is also a critical fundraiser that is key to sustaining the national team.

“Events like this are not only critical to help raise philanthropic support but also raise awareness, and engage with different community groups that support the women’s High-Performance teams” Bydwell noted.

USA Rugby invites individuals in the San Diego area to RSVP for this evenings cocktail reception in support of the Women’s High-Performance team. The cocktail party happens tonight, Friday 7/12 at 6:00 pm at FruitCraft – Fermentery & Distillery in San Diego.

Note that proceeds from this event directly support the Women’s Eagles program; there is a suggested donation at the door of $100.
