USA Rugby hosts Women’s Super Weekend in conjunction with Women’s Rugby Super Series 2019

In the lead-up to the tournament finale, four events will be hosted from July 12-14 to celebrate the past, present and future of women’s rugby

SAN DIEGO, CA. – USA Rugby will host a Women’s Super Weekend in conjunction with the Women’s Rugby Super Series Final Round at Torero Stadium, including four events held from July 12-14 which celebrate the past, present and future of women’s rugby.

On Friday, July 12, a ‘Tackle the Podium Together’ cocktail party will be held to engage the rugby community and garner support for the Women’s Eagles in their quest to Rugby World Cup New Zealand 2021.

A suggested donation of $100 at the door includes drinks and appetizers with attendees who donate more than $500 receiving a customized jersey and opportunity to interact with the Eagles during the tournament finale at Torero Stadium.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR TACKLE THE PODIUM TOGETHER Two events will be hosted on Saturday, July 13 including a Women’s Leadership and Legacy forum and evening PRIDE celebration.

The Leadership and Legacy Forum is held in partnership with Women’s Rugby Coaches and Referees Association and includes a series of conversations, panels and key notes around the development of legacy and empowering leadership in women’s rugby. Discussions will conclude with a social held at Novo Brewery.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR THE LEADERSHIP In the evening, a PRIDE celebration will engage the greater LGBT community and celebrate diversity and inclusivity in rugby. This gathering is presented by Women In Rugby and located at Bullpen Bar and Grill. Beverage proceeds from the evening will as well go towards the Women’s Eagles program.

Women’s Super Weekend will culminate with the Women’s Eagles final matchup against France on July 14 where members of the community will be honored with Legacy Awards at pregame and a Legends of the Game touch rugby match at halftime.
